E. Cole

Mr. Cole served as Vice President
and General Counsel for BAX Global, a major international transportation
and logistics company, prior to becoming a partner at Scott & Whitehead. Mr. Cole has also served as in-house counsel
to Federated Department Stores and Downey Savings & Loan.
In his 21 years of practice, Mr. Cole has had extensive experience representing
management in labor and employment matters in the United States and internationally.
He has made numerous appearances before state and federal agencies in employment
disputes and has successfully represented management in wrongful termination,
sexual harassment, and discrimination cases. In addition to his employment
law practice, Mr. Cole also specializes in corporate
and transportation law.
Mr.
Cole’s corporate
practice includes representing numerous domestic and international
corporations in the areas of contracts,
corporate governance, regulatory
compliance, and business litigation. Mr. Cole has been a Board of Directors
member and officer of several international corporations. He
has significant litigation
experience in state and federal courts, including the successful defense
of class action lawsuits.
Mr. Cole’s transportation practice
includes representing air, ocean, and ground carriers. He has
served as General Counsel to an international
passenger
and cargo airline, an NVOCC, and ground transportation companies. In addition,
he has made numerous appearances before regulatory agencies on behalf of
these companies and was selected to represent the air cargo industry in U.S.
Congressional
hearings.
Mr. Cole is also the
founder of “International Orphanage Relief” a
nonprofit organization which is dedicated to providing support to foreign
orphanages.
Mr. Cole graduated from Whittier College School of Law, where he received
his J.D. degree in 1981. Mr. Cole received his Bachelor of Arts degree
from the
University of Redlands in 1974. |
